In 6th Grade I read the play, Our Town by Thornton Wilder. We had to write a paper and I chose to base it off the quote, “You’ve got to love life to live and live life to love life.” At 12 it challenged me to think about what I would miss in life if it were suddenly taken away. I realized that to love life you should cherish the little things usually brought to you by the people you love, places you treasure- whether it is your dad’s laugh or the lotion your step-mom uses, the smell of a storm by the ocean, the sounds of the city, the touch of a blanket that is wrapped around you and your sister while watching a favorite movie- all these little things are what make up our love for life.
