Connecting

I always volunteer somewhere. I move around a lot, like, every couple of years. But I find a place to be and give my time.

Fighting Back

I have depression and even though I don't want to, I take my medication every day and every day I get out of bed and get dressed and do what I have to do. It' hard sometimes to do anything, but I do it. If my family can see me fighting this, and not giving up, then the world is a little better.

School

I tutor a child every week. It give me hope for the future to help, even if it is one child.

Other Places

I worked in the peace corp. It was hard coming back to the states. My world felt more real there. Everything mattered there. Now I have to work harder to be connected to my world.

Food

Every week I work in the food kitchen with my daughters. Its a small thing. But it helps and I am telling my girls something about the world and what they can do.

Family

I call my parents every week. There isn't much happpening in their lives. It's weird, my life is moving so fast. I guess their lives went fast once too. But it makes them so happy to have me call.
